Northbar Tackle has followed up with another fascinating lure after their popular bottledarter. The Flying Squid is the latest creation with some very innovative features. With several years of design and test casts and swims to its credit, the Flying Squid introduces a new look to the pencil popper.

The most interesting feature is the four 'fins' at the head of the lure, much like the fins on a squid, have multiple functions. First, they provide serious stability during the cast, especially in headwind conditions. This lure will resist wobbling, and maximize your casting distances. Secondly, when you retrieve the Flying Squid, you'll get much more surface disturbance than a standard pencil popper. A little more splash can entice that bite!
