Maxel Platinum Slow Pitch Rods are made out of carbon fiber with an external carbon tape. This construction gives the blank tremendous sensitivity, light weight and uncompromising strength.

Maxel Platinum Slow Pitch Rods are more of a hybrid slow pitch rod. They are able to fish in the traditional slow pitch style. Yet, they make for great bucktail jigging rods for inshore game fish. Fluke, Sea Bass and Porgies are all species these rods will excel at capturing.

The rods have nice long rear grips. Rear grips this long are not usually found on hybrid rods. It makes for a very comfortable rod to fish with. Tucks under you arm and fits great on your forearm when you are fighting that trophy fish. The action of the rods make them perfect for bouncing a bucktail, yo yo jigging a diamond jig or dropping a flat fall or vertical slow pitch jig. The price point of the Maxel Slow Pitch Rods are unmatched for the quality and performance built into the rods.
